Kobe Bryant Dies in Helicopter Crash
“I never felt outside pressure. I knew what I wanted to accomplish, and I knew how much work it took to achieve…The expectations I placed on myself were higher than what anyone expected of me.”
Kobe Bryant, father of four, husband, Lakes legend, 5x NBA champion, considered one of the best basketball players of all time, was among nine people who lost their lives on Sunday, January 26, 2020, in a helicopter crash near Los Angeles. Among Kobe Bryant was his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna.
We encourage our AFRICAN L’HOMME family to think deeper about how we live each day. Kobe Bryant’s commitment to the game of basketball is a perfect example of how we should commit to the things we do moving forward.
“There’s a choice that we have to make as people, as individuals. If you want to be great at something there is a choice you have to make. We can all be masters at our craft, but you have to make a choice. What I mean by that is, there are inherent sacrifices that come along with that family time, hanging out with your friends, being a great friend. being a great son, nephew, whatever the case may be. There are sacrifices that come along with that.”
