Photo Intern
What You’ll Do:
Assist the Photo team on production and execution for branded content photo shoots.
Assist with location scouting, casting and prop sourcing.
Assist the Photo Editors on set as a production assistant.
Conduct photo research and optimize images for web. Photograph to industry specific events related to menswear, travel and culture.
Image retouching and sizing
Update Photo Resource Library
Manage Monthly Photo Newsletter
Photograph Styling Sessions and prep Styling Session
Send contributors hi-res images and live links of final stories
What you have:
You must have experience with on-location and studio photography
You must have working knowledge of Photoshop and Adobe Programs
You must have organizational skills
To be successful here you are:
Enrolled as a college student or recent college graduate
Quick thinking and resourceful
Ability to communicate and write in English
Access to a computer, reliable internet connection, and a digital or DSLR camera.
EDITORIAL INTERN
What You’ll Do:
Support the editorial team with research, transcribing and writing.
Build and optimize stories in the CMS, writing SEO friendly meta data and researching basenames
Pitch ideas for trending news posts and feature stories at daily and weekly editorial meetings.
Attend industry specific events to cover on AFRICAN L’HOMME social media and website.
Generate ideas to maximize audience reach.
What you have:
You must have previous blogging or writing experience in both long and short form.
Organized and detail oriented with an ability to meet deadlines.
You must have organizational skills
To be successful here you are:
Enrolled as a college student or recent college graduate
Quick thinking and resourceful
Ability to communicate and write in English
Access to a computer and reliable internet connection.
