Afro Nation Miami Set to Take the US by Storm with Star-Studded Lineup

AfroNation

This year, the most extensive Afrobeats Festival in the world, Afro Nation, will hold its first event in the US. The festival, set in Miami, will carry on from its previous successful installments in Portugal, Ghana, and Puerto Rico and take place on May 27 and 28.

It will continue to emphasize some of the top artists in Afrobeats, dancehall, hip-hop, amapiano, and other genres led by Black stars. The inaugural day of Afro Nation Miami will be headlined by the Nigerian performer Burna Boy, who released his sixth studio album Love, Damini in July. The second day will be spearheaded by another Nigerian artist, Wizkid. Having achieved his status as a trendsetter in Afrobeats, as well as the most-streamed Nigerian artist ever on Spotify, Wizkid recently put out his last album More Love, Less Ego in November. Additional artists in the lineup include Beenie Man, Rema, Asake, Franglish, Black Sherif, Nelson Freitas and more.

General tickets will be available for purchase starting Friday, January 13, while a special access pre-sale registration has already gone live online.
