Our in-house perfumer suggests three floral fragrances that offer a refreshing note.
I love perfume and count discovering new fragrances as one of my favorite pastimes. I’ve had a sensitive sense of smell since I can remember. As a kid, I’d smell my mother’s perfume and mix her floral scents with my father’s aftershave lotion to create a scent that was unique to me. Because of this, I’m always excited to try new floral fragrances, as I believe they can be the extra push in any signature scent.
Lil Fluer by Byredo
Byredo’s founder, Ben Gorham says, “I think that’s the first upturn—our floral scents can be worn by anyone,”. While Lil Fleur does explore the traditional floral world with Damascena rose, Gorham has injected additional depth to it. “It smells like flowers for a moment but has so much more in it. Top notes of cassis and tangerine, warm down to white saffron and there is a leather accord with the rose. Underneath all of that, there are blonde woods, amber, and vanilla. So you see; much more complex than a floral.”
Rose 31 by Le Labo
Composed from a game-changing blend of Centifolia roses combined with warm and spicy cedar, vetiver, musks and guaiac wood to create an assertive scent that can be worn by men and women with confidence.
Velvet Rose & Oud Intense by Jo Malone
Darkest Damask rose. Rich and textural, wrapped with smoky oud wood. Spiked with clove, decadent with praline. Magnetic.
