A restaurant nestled in a neighborhood in Victoria Island, The Metaphor, is a family-owned restaurant that is one of the most beautiful house turned social scenes in Lagos. Settle into a comfortable couch on a Thursday night with a live jazz performance or perch on a stool at the bar to enjoy a classic Old-Fashioned; you’ll find your time at The Metaphor inherently rewarding. The menu is mainly made up of cuisines specific to Nigeria, though they do offer an excellent selection of American-styled foods.

BRASS & COPPER
In the same complex as a beauty salon and barbershop, Brass & Copper stands true to it’s name with copper decor from the salt shakers to the pipings in the ceiling. The restaurant itself is in partnership with the Good Hair, a Lagos & London-based beauty salon. Settle at the bar for appetizers and drinks or reserve a table for hookah.
What to order: Hot Cops with steamed rice.

The Alara concept store was designed by architect David Adjaye and his global practice Adjaye Associates. The building features an exhibition-style retail space, restaurant and terrace lounge with the red and grey color palettes on the interior and exterior an eye-catching building. The menu offers dishes from across the African continent and believe us, there’s nothing that’s not to enjoy.
