Watch the New Documentary Highlighting African Music Legends: Paris is Africa

African music is currently having a significant impact on the world today. Still, we can’t forget that music legends before us have paved the landscape for how African music is viewed today. Journalist, Philippe Conrath, who since 1982 has been chronicling black music for the newspaper Liberation, was in the process of leaving the daily newspaper when he was asked to write and direct this series.

As the film’s title suggests, Paris is Africa offers a rare peek at some of Africa’s most celebrated musical legends.
